Hi. I put this here, because, I'm doing this to get job experience. I'm assisting a staff member teaching both young and elder blind adults Braille. However, we've started on the only Braille training we could access. It's a Nonproffit program, and there's no money to get a new training book.
So I'm wondering if anyone here has a copy of: Illinois Braille Series 1992; Book1 #5-17230-01. I'm told there are 3 books in this series. If anyone has a copy, I will find a way to pay for shipping of this book. Please contact me privately?
I can't figure out ehe messages on here, but pqn's are perfect. And, I'm on a lot. This is important, because it's the only thing I know we can get our hands on. And a couple of people will be utterly lost, if the teacher changes the material on them.
If you can help, post publically, and I'll keep an ear out for you. I really enjoy what I'm doing, and wish to make it easier on the instructor, as well as on the students.
Thank you in advance!
Blessings In Christ,
Sarah
You may want to check out National Braille Press. The book you mentioned in your previous post sounds quite old. Do some internet research on Unified English Braille. I don't know mch about it. You may also want to contact the Hadley School for the Blind.
